Is EMS Training Safe? What Edmonton Clients Should Know Before Starting

EMS training should feel guided, explained, and controlled. Before starting, clients should understand the screening process and know when EMS may not be appropriate.

Screening comes before intensity

A safe EMS experience starts before the suit is turned on. Mahnaz asks about health history, comfort level, training experience, and any limitations so the session can be adjusted or postponed when needed.

Who should be cautious with EMS?

Some clients should speak with Mahnaz and, when appropriate, a healthcare professional before trying EMS. This includes clients with implanted electrical devices, pregnancy, seizure disorders, severe cardiovascular conditions, active cancer, severe kidney disease, or open wounds and skin irritation.

Comfort checks matter during the session

The intensity should not be a surprise. A good first EMS session explains the sensation, starts conservatively, and gives the client permission to speak up if anything feels uncomfortable.

EMS is fitness coaching, not medical treatment

EMS at MZ Fit Club is used as a training tool inside a coached fitness session. It is not presented as a medical treatment or a replacement for medical advice.
