Founder of MZ Fit Club, PhD-educated movement coach, and EMS specialist bringing 15+ years of international coaching experience to Edmonton.
The Founder
My journey in fitness and human movement began in high school, where I studied Physical Education, and continued through university with advanced academic studies in the field. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, followed by both a Master's degree and a PhD in Motor Development.
I started my professional coaching career in 2008 and have spent more than 15 years helping people improve their health, movement quality, strength, confidence, and lifestyle through science-based training methods.
In 2013, I founded my own fitness club in Iran, where I worked directly with clients and helped educate many of the trainers inside my clubs. I also taught Physical Education courses at the university level and worked as an instructor within Iran's Physical Fitness Federation in Functional Training.
Since 2020, I have worked professionally with EMS training in my own clubs. After immigrating to Canada and working in the fitness industry at GoodLife Fitness, I noticed that EMS is still not very familiar in Edmonton, even though it is already more widely used in parts of Europe and other countries.
I believe EMS is especially suited for the Canadian lifestyle: long working hours, sedentary routines, harsh winters, joint stress, limited time, and inconsistent physical activity. At MZ Fit Club, my goal is to create a private, professional, and supportive studio where every client receives training designed for their body, goals, and lifestyle.
